Raducaraz are back! Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu set to reunite popular partnership in exhibition event

Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu are set to once again step onto the court together in a mixed doubles exhibition, ‘A Racquet at The Rock’ on Sunday, 7th December. The duo will be joined by American pair Frances Tiafoe and Amanda Anisimova in what is set to be a fascinating clash.
All four have had recent expeditions in mixed doubles, playing in the revamped version at the US Open. Alcaraz and Raducanu were think in the spotlight ahead of their first match in Flushing Meadows. Unfortunately, they could not rise to the expectation hung perilously high by the media and fans, losing their opening matchup to Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula.
Anisimova and Tiafoe also failed to get their campaigns in New York off and running. Teamed up with Holger Rune, the Dane and Anisimova by Ben Shelton and Taylor Townsend. Tiafoe was partnered with Australian Open champion Madison Keys, but even she could not produce the good to get past eventual finalists Casper Ruus and Iga Swiatek.
All of them will be hoping for better result in the upcoming exhibition at the Prudential Center, New Jersey. Along with the doubles, there will be a brace of singles ties. Alcaraz will take on Tiafoe, while Anisimova and Raducanu will lock horns.

The return of ‘Raducaraz’ is upon us

When the new and very intriguing mixed doubles format got released to the world for the US Open, many people were straight away looking at which star players would be sharing the court with who.
Possibly the most talked about pairing was the world number two Alcaraz teaming up with 2021 US Open champion Raducanu. It was the Spaniard who asked Raducanu for the honour of pairing with him on the court. The Brit needed no second invitation to accept, and a blossoming friendship was formed.
They regularly kept an eye on each other’s progress, with Alcaraz winning titles in his past time while Raducanu was attempting to get her career back on track. They even went to watch each other’s matches, with Raducanu a regular guest in the six-time Grand Slam champion’s box over the grass swing.
Then came the dating rumours. Both players brushed it off without hesitation, with them firmly stating that they were good friends.
This friendship prolonged into the US Open, and straight out the other side. They have not stepped out onto the court with each other but are set to once again team up in the States, hoping to get their first win on the board, albeit in an exhibition clash.

It is a busy time period for the pair, with then a day later hopping acorss the country to Miami to compete in the Miami Invitational. Anisimova will also be traversing to the exhibition, with 19-year-old Joao Fonseca making up the numbers in Florida.

Mixed ends to the season for pair

The Asian swing promised much hope for both players. Alcaraz had just come off lifting his sixth Grand Slam title, and second in New York. After disappointment in the Laver Cup, he extracted his revenge specifically on Taylor Fritz in the Japan Open, defeating the American number one to lift his eighth title of the year. He would not step onto the court again until the lucrative Six Kings Slam. For the second consecutive year, Jannik Sinner would get the better of him in the final.
An opening match exit in the Paris Masters against Cameron Norrie was less than ideal preparation for the ATP Finals coming up soon, with the number one ranking once again at stake.
