Felix Auger-Aliassime has message for fans after reaching his highest career ranking ever

Felix Auger-Aliassime has become one of the stories of 2025 after a stellar second half of the ATP Tour season.Since September, the 25-year-old has reached the US Open semi-finals, Paris Masters final, and won the Brussels Open.

After his latest tournament result – a semi-final appearance at the ATP Finals in Turin – the Canadian has achieved a career-high ranking of world number five.

Auger-Aliassime, who could be the biggest challenger to Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s dominance in 2026, has reacted to his 2025 season on social media.

On Instagram, the Canadian said: “Season 2025, that’s a wrap.

“Finishing the season in good health, back playing the matches I strive to play for and with a team that works to improve each and every day.

“Everything that’s taken place in the past months has filled me with an equal level of satisfaction and hunger for more emotions, hard work and gritty battles.

“Onward and upward, lots more to fight for Season 2026.”

To the delight of many tennis fans, Auger-Aliassime appears to be finally living up to some of the expectations that were placed on his shoulders when he first made his name on the Tour seven years ago as an 18-year-old youngster.

The Canadian rose as high as world number six in 2021, but then seemed to fade into relative obscurity for a number of years.

Auger-Aliassime is a force on the Tour once again, and he could be a Grand Slam contender in 2026.

On hard courts, Felix Auger-Aliassime feels well and truly at home.

His best two Grand Slam results have come on the hard courts of Flushing Meadows: in 2021 and 2025.

The Canadian has also performed well on the grass at Wimbledon, reaching the quarter-final stage in 2021.

However, that being said, Auger-Aliassime has exited the grass major in the first round at three of the four tournaments between 2022 and 2025.

The Canadian has also made the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in 2022.

At the French Open, Auger-Aliassime has reached the fourth round twice – in 2022 and 2024.
