Felix Auger-Aliassime signs up for 2026 UTS event

On Instagram, the UTS Tour confirmed that Auger-Aliassime and Andrey Rublev would be competing at Bastide UTS Nimes 2026.

Auger-Aliassime has not played a UTS event since 2020, when he competed at the second-ever event, in Biot, France.

The Canadian was the runner-up at the French event in 2020, which eschews traditional tennis scoring, but he lost out to Alexander Zverev.

Speaking about his return to the format, Auger-Aliassime said: “I am super excited to play Bastide UTS Nîmes next April.

“I was astonished by the amazing footage I saw of the 2025 edition, and I can’t wait to play UTS in the iconic clay court of the Arènes de Nîmes!”

Auger-Aliassime will next be in action at the United Cup, where he will represent Canada alongside Victoria Mboko.

Felix Auger-Aliassime shares his true feelings on winning a Grand Slam

Auger-Aliassime’s resurgence in the second half of the 2025 season helped him break back into the top 10, and now he has his sights set on a major victory.

Speaking to the Australian Open ahead of the Grand Slam, he said: “[I feel] back where I belong. Back where I feel like I can play with more consistency. It’s great progression I’ve had this year.

“I’ve always believed that since I was a kid, my ambition was to win Grand Slams and be No. 1 in the world. I’ve had ups and downs, but honestly, through it all, I always believed I could be there.

“I still believe today. Now it’s a matter of doing the right things to improve. If I do, we’ll see where that leaves me.”

Auger-Aliassime’s best result at the Australian Open is a quarter-final appearance in 2022, where he lost to Daniil Medvedev in five sets.
